Watermelon

I am very paranoid overly cautious when it comes to a lot of things, especially with Fiona. I cut her food into "pencil eraser" size pieces because the instructor in the CPR class we look said choking is preventable and that is one preventative measure. Can you see me showing up to her first date to make sure her food is cut up correctly? J.R. will be with me to make sure that boy remembers that Fiona's Dad and uncles all own guns-yes, the ones they were cleaning when he picked her up.
Anywho, I figured watermelon was easy enough to chew so we decided to take Fiona outside to eat her first whole piece of watermelon. This is the result:

She was having so much fun, look at the juice puddle in front of her:

Then she dropped the melon (we look it away and J.R. went to get another piece):

Meanwhile she realized she had juice all over her hands, arms, legs...you get the idea:
Daddy to the rescue with piece #2:

And then a bath (I washed all of her toys in the tub that morning so she got to play with all of them):

Okay she is so damn cute! I love her 4th of July dress.

And her face after dropping the watermelon is priceless. You'd think you'd just told her she can't play with he dog anymore or something...

I hope you guys had a great weekend:) We just got back a little bit ago. 8 1/2 hour drives are no fun!

I will see you Tuesday Mama:)

How dare you take the piece of watermelon away from her!!!!! Why didn't you have a stand by close to you?!!!! How cute.

I wouldn't give my first son cheerios until his daycare basically forced me to do it. I have a horrible fear of kids choking, too.

Hope you had a good 4th!

I don't blame you at all for cutting things up soooo small! Soooo many parents look at me like I'm crazy when I cut things up that small but I can't help, I don't want anything to happen to those cute babies!

As mean as it sounds, I LOVE LOVE LOVE her sad face, it makes me want to cry for her but at the same time laugh...

Love you!

My favorite picture is the one of her with her tongue out. She looks so happy and like she is enjoying it.
