7 month old James

My baby is 7 months old today! This age is so much fun, it is the time I was waiting for when we were going through all the colicky nights. James has changed into such a sweet happy baby. He is eating food twice a day most days and sleeping long blocks at night, usually 6-7 hour blocks (he did have an 11.5 hour night, but he was sick) and 1.5-3 hour long nap. He loves watching Fiona play and lights up whenever he sees her. He has been sitting well, unsupported for about 2 weeks now, though it's just been this last week he got to a point that I will leave him without a pillow behind him. He says "ma", "ba", and "ga" and combines all three. This past weekend he became mobile-yikes!

Did you hear Fiona in the the end of the video say "I was playing with those."? Goofy girl.
James started out all the way across the room near the couch got to the train tracks and turned to play with the Magnadoodle, which he pulled over on his head, then turned around and headed back for the train tracks again.
He had an ear infection at his 6 month "well" child checkup so we skipped shots and made a follow up appointment for Feb 1st to make sure his ears are cleared up and catch up on vaccines. He has another cold now with croup-which sounds awful, but hasn't seemed to bother him much. I'm anxious to see if this cold brings on an ear infection, and if so, how long we wait to have the conversation about tubes. Our pediatrician is not the same one that we had when Fiona was having all of the ear infections, the "new" one is great...his wife also happens to be the NP at the ENT's office.
James' favorite things at 7 months are:
-Eating-solids and nursing
-watching Fiona do anything
-Jumping in his doorway jumper of the exersaucer
-chewing on things he's not supposed to-plastic bags, newspaper
-banging on things to make noise.
-he still only has the two bottom teeth, but I think I can feel the top ones coming through. Check out the slobber bomb in this picture:
